Pursuant to the CAUT By-law, local, federated, and provincial member associations can appoint just one official ‘delegate’, and one or more ‘alternate delegates’, to attend the Council meeting.

Information Sessions - Wednesday April 21, 2021

Join us for Information Sessions prior to Council.

Orientation for New Delegates - 12:30 to 1:15 pm

Review how to vote, speak to a resolution, make a motion and more. Members of CAUT’s Elections and Resolutions Committee will review the Council agenda and procedures and answer questions about CAUT Council.

The Education for All Campaign - 1:30 - 2:30 pm

COVID-19 has amplified long-standing issues with post-secondary education: lack of funding for basic research and core operating costs, precarious work, unreasonable workload and so on. CAUT has joined forces with other organizations representing post-secondary students and workers to push governments to invest in universities and colleges and commit to addressing the issues. Join us in a discussion on organizing and mobilizing members to push for system change.

Organizing Against Provincial Austerity - 3:00 - 4:00 pm

Academic staff associations are organizing against provincial governments, building coalitions and mobilizing members. Hear about their strategies and tactics to work for change.
